Lounge Chair Forest for outdoor.

The lounge chair from the FOREST collection was commissioned by the outdoor designer Jan Hauser. With many years of experience with the material, Jan Hauser wanted to realise a furniture collection that does not yet exist on the market.

The lounge chair is designed for outdoor use. The furniture is made from Ipé, a renewable raw material that is breaking new ground in furniture construction. This wood fulfils all the necessary requirements for explicit outdoor use. Ipé is durable, weather-resistant and aesthetically beautiful. The extremely robust wood has already proven its value in shipbuilding.

The generous seating area invites you to relax. The backrest resembles a modern throne. The cushions complete the oasis of well-being without hiding the high craftsmanship of the woodworking. The seat cushions are available in green, beige or blue. A customised cover can also be provided.

The lounge chair is produced in Switzerland, is numbered and labelled with a brass plate.

During the design process, it was important for the seating furniture to have a timeless design, sustainable construction and well thought-out wooden joints. The furniture is designed so that individual parts can be replaced (if necessary).

Thanks to the creation of a prototype, we were able to check the proportions, identify difficulties at an early stage and find solutions. Adjustments were made to minimise wood waste, make the production process as efficient as possible and ensure that the communicated production price could be met.

Following a successful market launch, the intention is to complete the range with a product family consisting of a lounge sofa, sofa table and dining table with chairs. When designing the lounge chair, all considerations for the extension to a product family have already been considered.
