By car, after leaving Schwyz, you drive along a curvy road, past the new Stoos railway, until Muotathal opens up. A valley where everything is a little quieter. At least that’s our first impression.
Vonrickenbach.swiss ag is a family business that has made solid wood resourcing and processing its passion for generations. In processing, they rely on the most modern technology. The extensive pool of machinery and their great know-how, combined with Swiss quality and high design standards, leave no wish unfulfilled. Not even ours. Our producer knows how to skilfully put the high-quality wood together to create an appealing wood image. The processing of the individual parts is done with the utmost care and consideration. Precision is required when assembling: a wooden wedge is carefully hammered in and then sanded flat. The finishing touch is oiling, which gives the wooden furniture the necessary protection and also the beautiful satin finish. Oh, how wonderful the furniture smells when it is freshly unpacked! Like a book fresh from the press that is opened for the first time.
It is important to us that our «niu» collection is 100% «Made in Switzerland» from design to production. That is important to us and we are proud of it. These are our values.
By the way: the appealing pictures of the stool in front of the mountain and forest landscape were taken in «Bödmeren». This is the largest primeval spruce forest in Europe, high up above Muotathal. This is where we had unpacked our furniture and put it in the best light. Right from the place where they are produced with a lot of experience and heart and soul.
